Insurance
Currently, accepted insurances
include:
BCBS
traditional, PPOM, Aetna, Medicare, Tricare, most
commercial insurance.
In
general, any PPO might work as an out-of-network benefit.
Please
note that BCBS PPO is "disaffiliating" me, so I will not be
on the panel after March 20, 2008. You can follow these
links to find other providers in the TRUST PPO (Blue Preferred, Community
Blue).
The
HMO that is replacing MCare HMO is essentially Blue Care
Network (BCN) with coverage for UM hospital services. It
will probably share BCN's requirement for lab tests only
being covered if ordered by the in-panel PCP.
I am not on the panel of any HMO. However, you could think
of HMOs as a low-cost basic coverage and use the saving
from not buying a more comprehensive plan to pay for
whatever kind of care you want.
Contact your
insurer to ensure coverage as I cannot promise what the
whims of insurers will dictate.
If you are concerned about the costs of health insurance
and treatments, consider visiting Health Insurance Off The
Grid.
This page will be updated as insurance relationships
change. Contact me if you would like to be
updated of specific changes.
Cash, checks and credit cards are an option, as well.
I expect payment at the time services are rendered for
non-covered expenses.
Billing is done through MMMM in Mason, MI. So, if you get a
bill from me and the postmark is in Mason, it is from my
billing company. Actually, I haven't sent any bills from my
office, so any bill you get from me would have to be from
the billing company. There should be a phone number on the
bill if you need to contact them.
